Job posting: Student employee

The student council at Roskilde University is looking for a new student employee.

Are you ambitious and want to help make the university a better place for all students? Then we might have a position for you.

Who are we?

The student council is a student organization for students by students. Our goal is to make Roskilde University the best place for students. We work to improve the university through social events eg. the semester start party, annual boat race, tutoring & much more, political by working together with the rectorate and representation in the academic council and the university board, and educational by hosting guests lectures, workshops, talks and much more.

About the position

You will work closely with the Student Council’s board, executive committee, chairpersonship, and many other active students in the Student Council.

Your primary task will be administrative.

It is the task of the student assistant to update, maintain and administer the council’s various online platforms such as our Microsoft Teams, mail system, webpage, and app. 

  • Assist the board with administrative tasks.
  • Help coordinate events.
  • Keeping tabs on storage.

A lot of the work requires assisting the members of the Student Council, and especially the chairpersonship, such as setting up meetings, ordering supplies and provide practical support on a day to day basis.

  • Ad Hoc, graphic design, creative assignments, and communication.

This work area can be mirrored in the previous point, as many of the ad hoc tasks and creative assignments are in the process of helping various members of the Student Council.

It will also be possible to provide inputs on your task, if you have suggestions on how we can optimize our workflow.

The position is for 7,5 hours a week, but this can vary greatly. We will of course also take your studies and exam into account.

About you

We imagine that you are:

  • An active student
  • You are flexible with the work hours. This position varies greatly in workload. In some periods it requires more working hours than others.
  • Outgoing, friendly, have a good mood, and is good at creating relationships
  • Able to seek out assignments for yourself.
  • You speak English and are comfortable speaking it at a professional level.
  • Able to read and speak Danish is a plus, but not a requirement.
