Application for Roskilde Festival Coordinator 2022, for The Student Council at RUC
The Student Council at Roskilde University has an exciting position available for a highly motivated team of people looking to lead our volunteer effort at Roskilde Festival. Applicants should be familiar with Roskilde festival, prepared to lead and organize a team of approximately 200 people, and be excited to help organize Denmark’s largest cultural event!
As a festival coordinator, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills as an organizer and leader in a vibrant environment as part of the Student Council Secretariat. At Roskilde Festival, the Student Council will again be responsible for the security and handling of the two caravan parking areas. Together with a member of the Student Council’s executive committee and a team of coordinators, you will help develop, plan and execute the work of the Student Council’s volunteers at Roskilde Festival 2022.
Up until the 1st of February, you will be responsible for collecting information from, and attending meetings with, the Roskilde Festival coordinators, setting up a budget, and hiring co-coordinators in collaboration with a representative of the Student Council.
Starting from the 1st of February, you will work closely with your coordinators, where you will together develop and organize the framework for the approx. 200 volunteers, you will mobilize up to the festival. During this period, you will be responsible for supporting the work of your coordinators, keeping overall control of various preparations, recruitment, and compliance with various deadlines, and not least being present and solving administrative tasks during the festival.
As a coordinator for the Student Council, you will have the opportunity to develop and test your skills in project management, idea development, and the management/organization of volunteers. You will also exchange experiences with former coordinators and will be associated with a contact from the Student Council.
Together with your coordinators, you will be able to organize your work at the festival itself, so you can watch music and participate in (almost) everything you want. However, the ultimate responsibility is yours, and it is up to you to be available if needed.
The position is a project employment that will be completed as soon as you have both written a comprehensive evaluation after the completion of the Roskilde Festival, and you have completed the accounts. As the main coordinator, you will receive an honorarium of DKK 20,000 shared between you, a recommendation that can be used on your resume, and a lot of useful experience.

– That you have a driving license for a car.
– That you are a fluent, natural speaker of Danish, and are capable of communicating competently in English

Interviews will take place in English, however – as a rule of the Festival – nearly all of the work will take place in Danish.
