We are always interested in new people in the organisation – whether that means work in one of our committees, a seat on the board or voluntary work during the year.
Why join?
Because decisions about your education are made somewhere, and it is better to be in the room than outside it. And because the Student Council is a community where people find friendships across semesters and programmes.
Where can you get involved?
- The committees – where most of the work happens, and the easiest place to start.
- Academic councils – the academic student work at your own department.
- Positions and elections – the board, the Academic Council and the university board.
How much time does it take?
That is up to you. Some spend a couple of hours a month, others more. There is no expectation that voluntary work should come at the expense of your studies.
