All students at RUC can stand for positions of trust and appointments – both internally in the Student Council and externally in the university’s bodies.
The Student Council’s board
The board is the Student Council’s highest authority between general assemblies and handles financial, political and strategic leadership. It consists of a chairperson, one to two vice-chairpersons, ten ordinary members as well as the Student Council’s representatives on RUC’s board and the Academic Council.
Board members are elected at the general assembly and take office the following 1 February.
The university election
Each year the Student Council fields students from all main areas for the Academic Council and the university board. This is where students have direct influence on the university’s leadership.
Other positions
- Critical audit – two people who comment on the audited accounts.
- The Legal Committee – three people who advise on the interpretation of statutes and rules of procedure. The committee works apolitically.
- The Executive Committee – seven people who coordinate political and strategic matters between board meetings.
