The Student Council’s decision-making authorities are, in order of precedence: the general assembly, the board, the executive committee and the chairs.
The general assembly
The general assembly is the Student Council’s highest authority and is held in the fourth quarter. It sets the direction for the organisation’s student political, academic and social work. All students at RUC may take part with full voting and speaking rights.
The board
The board is the highest authority between general assemblies and coordinates the Student Council’s activities. The board’s meetings are open to all students at RUC.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of seven people including the chairs. One seat is reserved for the coordinator of the University Policy Committee, and the remaining seats are elected by and from the board. The committee handles the coordination of political and strategic matters between board meetings.
The chairs
The chairs consist of the chairperson and up to two vice-chairpersons and handle day-to-day operations between board meetings. The Student Council is legally represented by the chairs.

Member organisations
Democratic student organisations at RUC with student social, academic or political purposes may be admitted as collective members.
